Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19) Term
The Boğaziçi University administration is closely monitoring national and international developments on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. At this time, our main priority is the health and security of our students, academic and administrative staff.
Based on the announcements and regulatory notices from The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Health, Higher Education Council (YÖK) and other government bodies, we will keep you routinely updated from this information page.

All educational activities including undergraduate internships and applied studies, as well as graduate studies have been suspended until 6th April 2020. Please see our recent announcement regarding transitioning to distance education here.
Erasmus+ and Exchange Programs
Students in the scope of the Erasmus/Exchange programs who wish to return to the University and register for the 2020 Spring Term should fill out the form obtained from the Office of International Relations (OIR) web page until Friday, 20th March 2020. More detailed information will be sent by the IAO on the subject. Those who are returning to Turkey must plan their journeys so that they can stay at home during their 14-day isolation period prior to attending courses on 6th April 2020.
Academic Meetings, Social, Cultural, Sports Events and Other Activities
All academic meetings and activities to be help on our campuses are suspended. Previously planned social and sports activities, as well as sports competitions, cultural trips and travels, etc., and international travels have been cancelled until further notice.
All international travel (academic or personal) is suspended for academic and administrative staff.
All university related international travel is cancelled for students.
All returning students, academic and administrative staff from international locations has to remain in isolation for 14 days at home before returning to campus.
We strongly recommend our students who stay in the dormitories that they go home. The dormitories will be open only for those who are unable to leave. Students will be charged only for the duration they stay in the dormitories during the break.
Food halls, except for Hisar Campus, will be serving food.
As of Saturday, March 21, 2020, the library will be closed on the weekends and on the weekdays, it will be open between 10:00 – 13:00 only for book check-outs and returns. Book returns have been extended till further notice. No late fees will be charged.
All sports halls, except for the Uçaksavar Sports Field, will be closed.
Medical Centre (Infirmary) will remain open.
Shuttle bus will run for only disabled students/staff and between Kandilli, Sarıtepe campuses till May 30th.
All laboratories associated with the Computer Centre will be open between 8:30-17:00.
Places of worship in Kuzey and Guney Campuses will be open between 6:00-21:00. Hours remain unchanged for the others.
